Catherine’s first photo’s were of her pet cat taken with a 35mm Olympus film camera that her Aunt Honey gave her when she was about 10 years old.Many rolls of film later, a degree in textile design and a job at an east London textile design consultancy finally led Catherine to a career in photography. With that background to draw on Catherine’s eye sought out patina’s & colour in her subjects which she expressed by using her favourite film - the now defunct Fujifilm Provia 1600 pushed 3 stops to produce rich painterly textured photographs. Catherine’s style offered an alternative to the ethereal, blown out, shallow depth of field look of editorial interior photography of the time so being commissioned by many leading interior magazines, publishers & brands in London and overseas.18 years on Catherine continues to be passionate about photography and still works with many of her original clients, testament to her individual eye, warm professionalism and calm personality on set.
